Biltmore Ballrooms Wedding
I remember looking forward to Lindsay and Johnny’s wedding ever since their consultation months before the big day. Needless to say, it was an absolute dream! Their beautiful wedding ceremony took place on March 4, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta, and it was followed by an amazing ballroom reception at The Biltmore Ballrooms. Not only was I incredibly excited for the breathtaking venues they had picked out, but I very much loved the vision they shared for their wedding.
One of the things I liked most about Lindsay when I first met her is that she wasn’t crazy about minor details and lavish decor. What she loved was Johnny, and, with both venues being extremely beautiful alone, she didn’t want to put on a huge ‘show’ that displayed anything but the immense love they shared. She wanted her wedding to be fun. Her biggest goal of the entire day was for everyone to walk away going, “Wow, they truly love each other!” And, y’all, that is exactly what happened!
Congratulations, Mr. and Mrs. Cauthen!
I’m not going to lie. I teared up when I received all the beauty that is Lindsay and Johnny’s wedding gallery from Once Like a Spark Photography. One of my favorite parts were all the black and white images captured. Not only did they show so much raw emotion, they were the most romantic and beautiful photographs. Their beaming smiles and whole-hearted love for one another throughout the whole day just reaffirmed my love for this dream job of mine – to give each and every couple their own best-day-ever.
Lindsay and Johnny, I am so honored that you chose me to be a part of your big day. You are absolutely the sweetest couple and were such a joy to work with. I hope to have more couples as sweet as you in the future.
I wish you all the love and happiness in the world as Mr. and Mrs. Cauthen!
I couldn’t help but swoon from all the pretty Gold and Bloom created with the white and greenery floral. It went so perfectly with the rich navy blue and gold color palette!
While the organ was played during their processional and recessional, they also hired a trumpet player to accompany it. The sound coming from that sanctuary was truly the most beautiful thing.
That golden light at the church!
Their guest book reminded me a lot of the one I had at my own wedding, and I remember how excited Lindsay was to show it to me after she ordered it. Not only did it include them with their beloved Atlanta skyline in the background, but it featured their fur baby, Harper!
Another thing I loved about their wedding (I just loved so much of it, y’all!) was that in lieu of wedding favors, they made a donation to the Atlanta Humane Society. With my love for fur babies everywhere, I think it’s such an amazing idea that should be thought of more often. While there were no formal wedding favors, guests still enjoyed taking the custom koozies home to remember the night. It was perfect!
Lindsay and Johnny weren’t a fan of wedding cake, so they opted for a dessert bar from Endive. I promise their guests weren’t missing the cake after tasting all these sweet treats!Often times while greeting their guests, couples can get caught up in talking the entire reception. What I loved about Lindsay and Johnny’s reception was that they made it a point to instead have fun with their guests on the dance floor. Everyone they invited was someone that they cared so much about and wanted to spend their day with. Rather than schmoozing the crowd the entire time, they wanted to celebrate on the dance floor with their friends and family. And, y’all, it was the most packed dance floor ever!
Here was their last dance – a special song played tribute to all their friends and family!
Thank you to all of the amazing vendors who made this day truly the best!
