Happy Anniversary to Cathy Nugent Weddings!
Can you believe it’s already been a year since I moved and started my business up in Georgia? I surely can’t! God has truly blessed me and my little business beyond my wildest dreams in the past 12 months. It’s almost unbelievable to me that this all happened in one year. Let alone, my first year in a new place that I had no previous connections in. When I looked back to my tally I keep in my planner to write this blog post, I had to count through it at least five times. This past year has surely been a wild ride filled with the most amazing weddings, couples, vendors, and shoots that I will cherish for a long time to come.
When I started dreaming of wedding planning, I was just a college girl with a wedding blog who had a dream, prayed hard, and went after it – fast. I silenced the doubts, skipped the norm, and dove head first into my passion at a young age before I could sit long enough to change my mind.
I just have to say thank YOU. (Yes, you!) There’s not enough words to say how thankful I am for the followers, clients, and vendor friends that God has put into my life over the past year. Without your love and support for what I do, there would be no blog. There would be no Cathy Nugent Weddings. For you I have to thank for helping me bring this dream of mine to reality.

I just have to say a HUGE thank you to my dear friend Linda at Linda Threadgill Photography for my new headshots! Back in May, we had a huge shoot planned complete with hair and make-up, a living room set-up in a field, and a planned feature of my husband and pup. However, it got canceled with all the rain! While I was disappointed at first, I’m so glad it did. Days later I was sitting in a coffee shop and realized that’s really where I belonged. That was where my brand was. (Read why, here.)
A few weeks ago we got back together and did a coffee shop lifestyle branding session to celebrate my business anniversary! It seriously felt like an episode straight out of Friends with a lot of laughs. (and even more coffee!) Here are just some of my favorite photos from our session!
