This blog post is brought to you by…
This blog post is brought to you by Christmas music on high volume, just three packed boxes, and only three weeks until we move into A Hosting Home. (Aka Stress.) Needless to say, November really decided to sneak up on me. I found myself laughing yesterday about it. (To myself, of course. Because why make myself seem any less crazy?) I couldn’t help but think “This is every OCD planner’s worst nightmare.”
The Powersheets Journey
On a more real note, as I was filling out my November Powersheets prep work this morning and reflecting on the past month for this blog post, I got to thinking about exactly how much has happened over the past few months and how far I’ve come. I have absolutely loved getting to see how God has worked in my life through my tending lists. Not to mention, it actually makes me excited for each month that I prep for. I find myself telling him, “I can’t wait to see what You do next.”
I’ve been currently using the 6-month set to try it out. But, I actually decided to purchase the 1-year set for 2018 when they launched last week. I can’t wait to use it along with my new Simplified Planner! (This post is definitely not sponsored, I just have a huge passion for office supplies and stationary. 😉 )
How October Went
October really came at a time of feeling refreshed and excited about taking on the month with my new brand that launched at the end of September. And, I must say, October really was a great month! I continued a lot of the same action steps on my tending list that I’ve had since I started this journey in order to continue cultivating those ongoing goals. Meanwhile, new goals on my tending list consisted of a longer non-stop running distance in prep of our half-marathon, meeting with new creatives to expand my circle, and cultivating new content for the Cathy Nugent blog.
Despite not getting to to mark 100% process on all my goals, I actually don’t have any regrets. First off, I found myself really embracing the balance that I was craving at the end of September by taking more time to be more present outside of my office doors. Rob and I got to spend time getting to know the members of our Sunday School class, we got to serve our community by passing out candy at our church’s Trunk or Treat, and Rob ended up getting baptized last week! Over dinner, we just couldn’t help but talk about how we feel like we’re in the right place. Needless to say, my heart is so full from witnessing God’s constant love and blessings over the past month.
Secondly, after getting to finally meet Allie of The Social Walker Agency over coffee and take her 21 Day Productivity Challenge, I feel like I totally crushed the goals that I did end up focusing on. (Plus some!) I beat my non-stop running distance goal by half a mile. Plus, I also got to meet with a new creative friend! Not to mention, the new content that I cultivated for the Cathy Nugent blog was met with so much more love than I could have ever imagined. My biggest fears of my following not loving this new brand as much as I do (seemingly!) shouldn’t have been something to fear at all. I can’t wait to continue cultivating new content for you all – after this move, of course!

November Powersheets Prep
Like I alluded to in the opening of this blog post, I find myself actually concerned with how it’s already November. I know I’ve probably said it in each prep post. But, where is time going? With November even more jam-packed, I have a feeling it’s going to go by even faster than the ones before it. Things I’m looking forward to this month include…
- MOVING!! – Just a little over 2 weeks to go until we close on our new home! We’re having Thanksgiving by ourselves in a sea of boxes this year!
- My Parent’s Move – They are finally moving to Charlotte from Texas this weekend! They’ll be stopping to see us on their way for a few days.
- A Sweet Friend’s Baby Shower
- A Gorgeous Winter Wedding Styled Shoot in the North Georgia Mountains – Who could resist a stunning publication shoot in the craziness of a move? (Hint: I sure can’t!)
- One of My Other Styled Shoots Being Published This Month!
- Finishing Half-Marathon Training – Only one month to go on Thursday! While I couldn’t be more proud of how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time, there’s still so much progress to be made to survive the 13.1.
Embracing the Mess
Needless to say, my tending lists is a little more on the full side this month as I try to balance even more. Throughout the month of November, I plan to continue a lot of the same action steps on my tending list that I’ve had since I started this journey in order to continue cultivating those ongoing goals. New goals on my Powersheets tending lists consist of tackling some of these monsters that come with moving and finishing my half-marathon training strong with my longest non-stop running distance to date. (But, really ever.) While it may be messy, I’m ready to embrace it by digging in and getting it done.
Happy November, friends!
